I am a wife, a Mother...I've owned a few businesses, I work full time, and at 42, trying to figure out how to live a fulfilling life without a TO DO list every day, and reach into my "Sunshine Suitcase"!

42 is my husbands lucky number!
42 years old, I can't believe it. When I write it, I am amazed I'm talking about ME. Like for real? I'm THAT old? I remember referring to people THAT age as old, now I am figuring out I'm sure young kids and teenager's probably refer to me that way too.
I'm no longer the "30 something", or the "college student trying to make it"....or the "coming of age teenager"....
With that realization, my life is actually better now than any of those decades. My teenager Abbey, reminds me of how awful it is to go to school and deal with all the "mean girls" that still exist, and how fitting in means not being yourself, pretending to be something you're not or all the pressure you face to be "cool".
I turned 42 on January 25th.
I wanted to plan something "different" and EPIC.
I thought since my Mom passed away, that I really need to make those moments count. I ended up cancelling all the GRAND plans I had and decided just to be in a familiar place where I spent a lot of time with good friends and spend the day leading up with my kids. That made me the happiest.
The weather was horrible, snow had poured upon Kalamazoo for days, schools closed, and winter weather warnings were made. Colder than a witches _____!
I was happily surprised that my best of friends showed up! we all had a blast and I couldn't have been more happy with how my birthday turned out.
Who liked the mustaches?
I had a really great time and remembered what's important; Time with my family, friends, and appreciating that I've been given yet another year of life. Some of us never get to 42 unfortunately.
I made this blog to chronicle my time here and the things that are important to me in my 40's. A lot has changed, but I am still trying to figure it out. I call the things that make me happy, and most of all, it's Motherhood. I have a teenager, a toddler, and a tot...didn't think I'd be having 3 kids(at all period), but even more so, not in 3 different significant stages. Here's to 2014 and all that it brings as a Wife, Mother, Friend, and Working woman.
